What it actually does
LinkedIn Skills is a free bundle of 12 Claude Code and Codex skills that draft LinkedIn posts, comments, and replies in your voice, then wait for your OK. You ask in plain English, for example "write me a post about why agencies are being replaced," and the right skill picks it up by itself. Every draft comes back to you first and nothing is published until you approve it. It was built by Sergey Bulaev and the team at Creative Content Crafts, and it is MIT licensed.
Why it's worth your time
- Twelve skills cover the whole LinkedIn routine: writing posts, commenting, replying, auditing drafts, planning a week, rewriting your profile, and repurposing content from other platforms.
- The Post Writer picks from 20 hook formulas (anaphora, the R.I.P. obituary, curiosity gap, controlled A/B and more), matched to whether you want comments, reposts, likes, or saves.
- The Humanizer strips the patterns readers notice, like stacked triads, staccato fragments, and stock AI vocabulary. The repo says plainly that no edit reliably beats AI detectors, so it aims at human readers instead.
- The Reply Handler can sweep a whole comment thread from just the post URL, skip the low-value comments, and draft answers to the rest in one batch.
- The Interviewer builds a Story Bank of your real numbers, turning points, and opinions, so drafts stop asking you for a specific number halfway through a request.
- Draft-only by default, with no account or API key. Auto-posting through Publora is an optional add-on, and a post still only goes out after you say yes.
The 12 skills inside
- Post Writer
- Drafts a post from 20 hook formulas, with 10 founder angles for building trust with investors, hires, and design partners.
- Comment Drafter
- Drafts a comment on any LinkedIn post from its URL.
- Reply Handler
- Drafts a reply to one comment, or sweeps a whole thread from the post URL and drafts the ones worth answering. It handles LinkedIn flattening threads to two levels.
- Humanizer
- Rewrites a draft to remove AI tells. Its audit mode checks a post against 2026 algorithm heuristics before you publish, and its profile mode learns your voice from 3 to 6 of your own posts.
- Hook Extractor
- Works out which hook formula a viral post uses and hands you a blank template to fill with your own topic.
- Content Planner
- Builds a 7-day plan with topics, formats, hooks, posting times, and comment targets. A founder version swaps in a different set of themes.
- Thread Monitor
- Tracks your comment threads for replies from the post author and drafts follow-ups in the 6 to 24 hour window.
- Engager Analytics
- Pulls the likers and commenters on any post and groups them by fit: peers, aspirational accounts, and prospects.
- Profile Optimizer
- Rewrites your headline, About section, Featured section, and Experience entries.
- Employee Advocacy
- Plans a team LinkedIn program with a 14-day launch, posting cadence, brand rules, and ROI tracking.
- Repurposer
- Turns a tweet, thread, YouTube video, blog post, or newsletter into a native LinkedIn post, with the link moved to the first comment.
- Interviewer
- Interviews you and keeps the answers in a Story Bank that every other skill reads. It is the one to start with if you have never posted.
Before you start
- Claude Code, Codex CLI, or a paid Claude plan (Pro, Max, Team, or Enterprise) with code execution turned on
- Nothing else for draft-only use: no API keys and no signups
- Optional: a free Publora account (15 posts a month) if you want approved drafts published for you
- Optional: an Apify token if you want the skills to read posts and comment threads automatically (the free tier includes $5 of credit a month)
🆕 New to Claude Code or Codex? Start here
LinkedIn Skills isn't a standalone app. It's a set of skills that live inside a coding agent such as Claude Code or Codex. Once it's installed you just ask for what you want in plain English and the right skill picks it up.
1. Pick where you'll use it
- Claude Code (desktop app, claude.ai/code in a browser, or the CLI): type the install lines into a Claude Code chat.
- Codex CLI: run the Codex lines in a terminal.
- claude.ai or Claude Desktop: no terminal needed, use the click-through option below. This needs a paid Claude plan.
2. Paste the matching install block below, press Enter, then start a new conversation and ask for something. That's the whole setup.

Is LinkedIn Skills free?
Yes. The skills are MIT licensed and free to install and use. The optional add-ons have their own pricing: Publora has a free tier of 15 posts a month, and Apify includes $5 of free credit a month.
Will it post to my LinkedIn account without asking?
No. Every skill that takes an action shows you a draft first and waits for your approval. Without Publora connected, it simply hands you text to paste in yourself.
Do I need Claude Code to use it?
Claude Code, Codex CLI, claude.ai, and Claude Desktop can install it directly. Other agents can read the SKILL.md files with npx skills add, and the repo marks Cursor, Cline, and Aider as manual setup.
Can it make my posts pass AI detectors?
No, and the repo says so itself. The Humanizer removes the patterns human readers and LinkedIn’s own filters react to, but it does not promise to beat detectors like GPTZero or Pangram.
Is it safe to use with my LinkedIn account?
Draft-only mode never touches your account. Auto-posting goes through Publora, and automatic reading of posts uses third-party Apify scrapers. Both are optional, so check LinkedIn’s terms and decide for yourself before connecting either one.
What if I have never posted on LinkedIn before?
Start with the Interviewer. It builds a Story Bank from your career rather than from old posts. The voice-profile tool in the Humanizer needs 3 to 6 posts you have already written.
